You probably have a million questions racing through your head! Slow down, I gotchu! I compiled a list of questions that people ask quite frequently (you may have heard of this sort of thing), which you can find down below. Have a question you don’t see answered here? Drop me a line!
Times are so uncertain right now, and I can't begin to imagine the stress you're under right now. Planning a wedding is crazy enough without the threat of a global pandemic. I want you to know that I take this very seriously and am unwilling to risk anybody's safety. For that reason, I'm working with my couples to postpone their weddings if they're affected by the virus, by waiving all rescheduling fees.
As a destination wedding photographer, I'm also working with couples who may want to shift their plans and elope instead. Whatever needs done to protect us and keep things easy and stress free for you, I'm on it! You can read more about my Covid-19 policies on my website.
I am a portrait and wedding photographer, and what that means is that I am best when I’m shooting either portraits or weddings! Trust me, you want me at my best. Portrait sessions (link to lifestyle) include boudoir, engagements, family and newborns, high school seniors, and more. Weddings (link to love stories) could be quick city hall ceremonies, mountainside elopements, or full day down the aisle affairs.
On top of portraits and weddings, I also offer content creation sessions for creative business owners where we work together to build a full photo library of you and your business for your brand and online presence.
Depending on what kind of session you’re looking for, you can book me for as little as one hour all the way up to a full twelve hour day (I know, I know- you just can’t get enough of me!).
Hell yeah, baby! I travel far and wide! Upcoming travel includes Dublin, Alaska, Los Angeles, Australia, and more. I’ll even take care of location scouting for your session if we’re both traveling somewhere new. Wanna see where I’m headed next? Check out my upcoming travel dates! Let’s paint this passport red!
In my bag at all times, I keep my Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 5D Mark III, and several lenses. My favorite lens right now is my 35mm 1.4, but I also carry my 24-70mm 2.8, 50mm 1.8, and a 135mm 1.8. For indoor and low-lit situations, I have two Canon 580ex ii Speedlites fully equipped with MagMod systems.
I also offer drone photography on my DJI Mavic Air for weddings and elopements. All images are shot in RAW on SD and CF cards during shooting, and immediately backed up to a LaCie Rugged external hard drive. I edit all images on a 27 inch 4K iMac desktop computer using Adobe Creative Suite.
Ahh yes. Weather! So unpredictable, isn’t it? If we’re approaching your session date and rain is in the forecast, there are a lot of things we can do. We can move your shoot indoors to a coffee shop, bookstore, studio space, or others. We can keep our shoot outside! I have a fab clear golf-size umbrella that makes for magical photos on dreary days, or I know of several covered spots that are outdoors but will keep us dry. And if neither of those work, we can also reschedule.
Don't worry! Most of my clients have never been in front of a camera before, or maybe not since their senior photos in high school. I will walk you through literally every step, and am happy to offer as much (or as little) guidance as you'd like! You should however expect a lot of laughing, dancing, and having fun! Through my easy shooting and natural posing, you'll feel like a natural in front of the camera. Want to know more about what it’s like to shoot with me? Check out my Experience Page.
Images are delivered directly to clients in a private online gallery. All images will be hi-res, fully edited in my signature style, with a mix of color + black and white. It takes me about 2-6 weeks to edit photos depending on the type of session, but it's well worth the wait! At the point of delivery, you'll be able to download the images to your device, share directly to social media, or print them through one of my vendors on my online shop.
It depends on the type of session you book with me. Smaller packages lasting only an hour will result in about 25 images. But if I’m with you all day, you’re looking to get closer to 500+ images.
Every photo I deliver has been digitally edited by hand, one by one, with lots of love and care. Photo editing includes color retouching, cropping/straightening, and basic retouching such as clearing up blemishes or hair in the face. I absolutely never under any circumstances perform any body modification, including changing body shape. For more information about this, check out my studio policies!
Nope! And it's not you, it's me! You wouldn't go into a restaurant and ask for the raw food, and my photos are the same way. When you book with me, you're booking the whole enchilada including my editing style! So be sure that you like my editing style before you book!
For weddings, I recommend booking between 6-18 months in advance, but I'm happy to speak with couples who fall outside that timeline! Especially for spring and fall dates, I suggest getting in contact sooner than later. For most portrait sessions, a few months in advance will be plenty of time to secure your booking, but please be aware that fall is the busiest time for me.
The short answer: yes. All of my clients are required to sign a contract before I shoot with them. This protects all of us involved! It's legally binding, and has a lot of useful information that we can refer back to throughout the planning process. It covers every "what if" you might have. We can go over it in person, too, in case you have any questions about it.
Yep! I’m insured through Hill & Usher and I’m happy to show proof of insurance upon request.
I know, I know. It's such a taboo topic, so let's just get it out of the way! I require a 30% non-refundable deposit upon booking. This retainer secures your session date, and once received, I will completely block out your date(s) to other prospective clients. That is the only way to completely secure your date. The remaining 70% is due 2-4 weeks prior to your session. I also offer payment plans for those who request it.
If you want to move forward and book with me, you should fill out this contact form so that we can get to know each other! If you’re still a little on the fence, you should read more about what it’s like to shoot with me!
I am beyond excited and honored to photograph all kinds of love with the exact same adoration and acceptance. There’s nobody you could love that would make me less thrilled to “yassss girl” you for the entirety of our session!
During our session and on wedding days, I will not tolerate any inappropriate “jokes” that make either myself or my associate photographers feel uncomfortable. We have the right to walk out of any unsafe environment at any time.
I love that body you’re in, and I want you to love it too! Because of this, I stand firm on not offering any body modification photo retouching of any kind. I will hype you up and cheer you on, but if you’re looking for a photographer who will shame you for that double chin, you’ll be disappointed with me.
