I call these things "relationship rituals," and I use them to tell your story. That's my secret. My secret to raw, emotional photography Is that I don't want your photos to look like anyone else's. I want them to scream you.

Kara came all the way from NYC to Wyoming to photograph my dream engagement pictures in Grand Teton National Park. She made it so I didn’t have to worry about a thing — she scouted locations, helped me and my partner put together outfits, and remained our biggest cheerleader at 4am while hiking up to catch the sunrise, even when we definitely lost the trail and ended up hiking for wayyy longer than we needed to. Our engagement photos really captured my partner and I’s love and relationship, and Kara spent extra time making sure we both felt comfortable in front of the camera.

Kara has such high (and kind) energy which is extremely comforting and exactly what we needed to keep the anniversary shoot moving and candid without feeling awkward in front of a camera. 2 hours went by like 5 minutes. She made us laugh the whole time. It was like catching up with one of those friends that you haven’t seen in months or years and picking up right where you left off. I cannot recommend Kara enough.
